The purpose of this study is to determine if an improvement in profile following Bilateral Sagital Split Osteotomy, correlates with improved frontal facial esthetics when the same face is viewed from the front.
A second purpose is to determine, if changes are evident from the frontal aspect, in what areas they are occurring and what level of change is detectible clinically.
A third purpose is to examine whether the three groups of evaluators; lay-people, oral surgeons and orthodontists, differ in their ability to ascertain post-surgical changes and their preference for certain facial relations.
